So I had a day where I was kind of burnt out. I'm a new mom to a 6 year old little boy with ADHD. My husband and I are adopting just in case you didn't know. It was around 6:30 or 7:00 pm, and I just needed to get out of the house. I've had some ideas for photography sessions recently (vintage style), and I wanted to test them out. I thought what better way to relieve some stress than to do a self-portrait session using some of my cool vintage props. My husband was home, so he said he'd stay in the house with our 6 year old, and I gathered all my gear and headed out. This is what I got.

Sunshine's Bags
So my sister has started a company called Sunshine's Bags. She is really talented and makes very cute handmade bags. Check out her website, Sunshine's Bags. She custom makes bags to fit your needs and styles, and she also pre-makes some bags that she sales straight from her site. When I was visiting her in Louisville, we did a little photo shoot of her bags with a friend of hers. Check it out.
Austin Senior Portraits
So my husband's brother, who was 8 years old when Eric and I first started dating, is now 17 years old and getting ready to start his senior year in high school. Yeah, makes me feel a little old. Well, the last time we were visiting family I shot a few senior pictures of Austin. We plan on doing more, but we just didn't have the time especially seeing how it was raining the whole time we had this session. Thanks to Austin for being a trooper even in the rain. Austin is looking so much like my husband now that he's older. He can actually grow more facial hair than my husband who is 10 years older than his little brother. Hehehe. Enjoy!
This last photo makes me laugh. Austin is addicted to xbox, so we had to get one shot of him with all his xbox gear. :) |
