Emily {Western NC Senior Portrait Photographer}

Where should I even start with the beautiful Emily? Emily was our very first foster placement when she was 15 years old. We love her dearly, and we still think of her as our first child even though she no longer lives with us. Last night, I was blessed to be able to photograph Emily's senior pictures. She is a beautiful girl, with amazing green eyes, and she was so easy to photograph. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from her session.

Lisa & Aaron Anniversary Snapshot {Western NC Wedding Photographer}

So today I had the privilege to photograph my big sister and her husband. They got married 6 weeks after my husband and I, and we adore them. They have lived in Louisville for several years for Aaron to attend seminary. I miss them dearly, and I am so thankful they are here with their two kiddos visiting for a couple of days.

My sister has recently lost a good bit of weight and could fit in her wedding dress again and really wanted to do some romantic photos with her husband in her dress. So that's exactly what we did today. We didn't get to take a ton of photos because of the weather, but we'll be doing more when they come back to our house for Thanksgiving. Enjoy this little preview!

Expecting Bryce

I recently had the privilege of photographing a maternity session for Brittany and Levi Wright. You may recognize this couple because I actually did a mini maternity session for them when Brittany was just 12 weeks along, and this time she was 34 weeks along. Definitely quite a difference in 22 weeks. :) Brittany looks amazing and so beautiful. She is just glowing, and in just a short amount of time they'll be welcoming a baby boy, named Bryce. I am so excited for them, and I can't wait to meet little Bryce. Enjoy their session!

Brittany's family are farmers, so of course we incorporated a tractor. :)

Brittany's family owns a pumpkin patch, so we had to do this. It was so cute. Afterwards, they let me kiddo pick out some pumpkins and pick some corn. They were too sweet!

Thanks Brittany and Levi for letting me document such a sweet and special time in your lives! I can't wait to meet little Bryce!

Fabulously Frugal Fridays {Western NC Wedding Photographer}

Hey friends! I am going to start a new weekly series called, Fabulously Frugal Fridays. I'm hoping I can keep up with this. I always love doing things on a budget and being able to decorate with DIY awesomeness. Today's post is going to be all about DIY wedding decor, heck, you could even use these in your home for pretty and unique decor. But for you brides who are on a tight budgets, these are very affordable ways to make your wedding/reception beautiful and memorable!

This first one I think is so adorable and unique, and guess what, I found a step by step tutorial for how to make these. Check out the tutorial from Free People Blog. I think this would be amazing for a rustic wedding, just fill it with simple little flowers like daisies, baby's breath, forget-me-nots, whatever your heart so desires. I definitely think these would be a conversation piece at your wedding.

In case you haven't noticed, I love simple and rustic decorations. :) I saw something similar to this idea on pinterest. This one is so easy that it can even be a craft for you and your kiddos. Just take any tin can (save those cans that your canned vegetables came in). Clean off all the packaging, then you can decorate the can however you want. Think, twine, lace, paint, etc. You could even turn these into candle holders. just paint the can and poke unique decorations in the can and place a tea light in the can. So pretty for an evening wedding or reception. I loved all the ideas that This Nest is Best had for tin cans. Go check it out! It also got me thinking about other sweet ideas for simple centerpieces like unique coffee cups or glass milk bottles used as vases. The possibilities are endless.
